SOUTH BEND, IN - As the first month of the regular season wraps up, the South Bend Cubs will soon make their way back to Four Winds Field for their first home series of May. Following their visit to the Cedar Rapids Kernels, the Cubs will host six games against the Fort Wayne TinCaps, with the all-Indiana battle beginning at 6:05 PM on Tuesday, May 6.

With sunshine and 70-degree weather in store for the whole week and summer just around the corner, it's a great time to visit the ballpark and watch the Cubs take on the San Diego Padres' Midwest League affiliate.

SMASH Burger, located on the first-base side of the concourse, will serve up a new opponent burger for the duration of the Fort Wayne series. The Grilled Apple Burger will feature two beef patties, grilled apples, Gouda, and bacon, served with a whipped Italian cream cheese sauce (excludes Wednesday, May 7).

Located on the concourse behind home plate, the Round Bar will offer another item ripe for the picking with its opponent cocktail. This week's Apple Cider Margarita contains a blend of tequila, apple cider, triple sec, and lime juice. Like the SMASH burger, it'll be available for most games during the homestand, excludes Wednesday, May 7. This will also be available at the Tiki Hut.

Finally, the South Bend Cubs will offer a special Mother's Day exclusive food item. The Cubbie Cristo (a ham and Swiss on maple-glazed French bread with raspberry jam and powdered sugar) will be available at SMASH Burger on Sunday, May 11.

Sunday FUNday: Arrive early for a special autograph session with the South Bend Cubs players, and play catch on the field before the game. Presented By ABC-57 and B100. Gates open at Noon. Player autographs are scheduled for 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM, and catch on the field (weather pending) is scheduled for 12:45 PM to 1:10 PM.

Mother's Day Crossbody Bag Giveaway: The first 750 moms through the gates will receive a special South Bend Cubs crossbody bag.

About the South Bend Cubs

The South Bend Cubs are the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Over the past 38 years, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2022, and captured nine division titles. In 2023, the organization was selected as the Single-A Bob Freitas Award recipient by Baseball America. Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, was voted Best High-A ballpark in the country by Ballpark Digest in 2022 and 2023, having also won the award as a Low-A ballpark in 2017.
