The El Paso Chihuahuas hit four home runs in their 12-4 win over the Las Vegas Aviators Friday night at Las Vegas Ballpark. El Paso has won two straight games and nine of its last 12.
First baseman Luis Campusano went 2-for-4 with a double, a three-run home run and two walks. Campusano has homered in back-to-back games and has three homers in the first four games of the series. Left fielder Trenton Brooks went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, his sixth homer of the season, with three of them coming against Las Vegas. Catcher Rodolfo Duran and third baseman Mike Brosseau also homered for the Chihuahuas.
El Paso starting pitcher Kyle Hart didn’t allow any earned runs in five innings and he has allowed two or fewer earned runs in all three of his Triple-A starts this year. Leadoff hitter and shortstop Clay Dungan went 3-for-5 with a walk and has three consecutive three-hit games. Dungan has reached base in 11 of his last 15 plate appearances. Designated hitter Tirso Ornelas went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI and is 10-for-18 with eight RBIs in the series.
